What is different about this dictionary? It shows you only words and expressions made out of the characters you actually want to learn right now

For example: You just started with Japanese, and you learned day (日) and book/origin (本). Now you want to know more words that you could build with those two characters, so they become more useful to you.

If you look them up in a normal dictionary, online or in a book, you will see dozens of words that contain either 日 or 本 but also many other difficult characters which you do not know yet, and which only confuse you. For example sunset (日没) or bookshelf (本棚).

On this page, you can list all the characters that you want to know until today and it will show you all the words that you can build using only the characters you have in your study list. So it will show you today (本日) and Japan (日本). You know instantly all the application possibility of your character knowledge, but you won’t get confused by the thousands of other words that you might only need to learn years later.

The drawback? In order to maintain your personal data, you have to register. Or can use guest/guest as username/password to try it out!
